2024 marks an important year for Beaverton Foods who has unveiled new products and continues to produce condiments that Americans have come to love over the last 95 years.

Beaverton Foods, the family-owned company behind beloved national brands Beaver Brand, Inglehoffer, Tulelake, Red Duck, and Pacific Farms, will celebrate its 95th anniversary in 2024. The woman and immigrant-founded company started in 1929 is helmed by third-generation CEO Domonic Biggi and fourth-generation President, Jeffrey Biggi. This important milestone for a legacy Oregon company will be celebrated with the launch of three new products in 2024.

Started in 1929 by Rose (Rosetta) Biggi, Beaverton Foods is a story of humble beginnings and persistent, hard work. Immigrating to the United States from Italy at the age of 14, Rose learned to grow vegetables on a farm in Beaverton. She discovered that horseradish grew particularly well in the fertile soils outside Portland. Tapping into her natural entrepreneurial spirit, she began bottling and selling her home-grown horseradish as a condiment, finding an eager audience at the many delis and lunch counters popular at the time. While concurrently raising three children, Rose expanded the business and her product line. She is credited as an innovator who built what is now the largest distributor of specialty condiments in the United States.

Geno Biggi, Rose’s son, continued the legacy when he assumed control of Beaverton Foods in 1950. An innovator in his own right, Geno not only created Beaver Brands but also expanded the company’s portfolio by acquiring renowned brands like Inglehoffer, and developed more than a dozen award-winning products. In 2015, he was honored with induction into the Specialty Foods Association’s Hall of Fame—the same year that Beaverton Foods earned three gold medals at the 20th annual World-Wide Mustard Competition. Beaverton Foods’ winning streak is ongoing, with new products habitually winning awards and medals at national competitions.

“2024 marks an important year for Beaverton Foods,” said Domonic Biggi, CEO at Beaverton Foods. “Our leadership is aligned and the future looks bright. We are excited to unveil new products and to continue producing condiments that Americans have come to love over the last 95 years,” he continued.

Domonic Biggi, CEO at Beaverton Foods, is the third generation to helm the family company. At Beaverton Foods since 1990, he has overseen more than a decade of year-over-year growth. In 2023, he was recognized for his leadership and inducted into the Specialty Food Association’s Hall of Fame. Employing more than 100 people and generating $35M in gross sales in 2023, Beaverton Foods’ reach extends nationally to restaurants, grocery stores, and direct-to-consumer channels, as well as internationally across a dozen markets. Beaverton

Foods products are available in every state and stocked in 98% of U.S. grocery stores. In December 2023, Jeffrey Biggi, the fourth generation, assumed the role of President at Beaverton Foods. With a career at the family company since 2009, he served as National Food Service Director and, most recently, as Executive Vice President. Beaverton Foods produces five nationally available brands of mustard, horseradish, ketchup, tartar sauce, and other specialty sauces: Inglehoffer, Beaver Brands, Red Duck, Pacific Farms, and Tulelake. Award-winning products include: Beaver Brand Wasabi Horseradish Mustard, Beaver Brand Honey Mustard, Inglehoffer Stone Ground Mustard, and Inglehoffer Ghost Pepper Mustard, among many others. The full line of Beaverton Foods products can be seen here.

Sourcing the highest quality ingredients for their line of condiments, Beaverton Foods also stays as local as possible, working with family-owned farms like Seus Family Farms in the Klamath Basin. The company sources spices from further afield, vetting producers and ensuring they meet Beaverton Foods’ highest level of food safety standards.

A pioneer in food safety, Beaverton Foods created a new standard for sanitation and cleanliness and operates with a strict set of criteria. Early adopters of programs set by the Health Foods and Dietary Supplements Association (HADSA) and Safe Quality Food (SQF), Beaverton Foods was also the first company to put their specialty products in squeeze bottles, a more sanitary option than glass jars for restaurant settings.

Timed with Beaverton Foods’ 95th anniversary, three new products will make their debut in 2024. Beaverton Foods will preview 2024 products at the Winter Fancy Food Show in Las Vegas, Nevada, January 21-23, 2024.

I’m just saying… The Tartar sauce is so good, I use two bottles at a time. I use it on burgers, BBQ, fish and potatoes. Love this brand. Thanks for making this amazing product.

I’m just finishing my Honey Baked Ham and Swiss cheese and I just had to write my appreciation for your scrumptious horse radish! I intended to buy some Bermans horseradish but my Marc’s store was out so I picked up your product instead. Thank you Jesus! And thanks to You!

I’ve been using it for years. The perfect level of heat and creaminess, and I store it in the fridge, after opening, upsidedown to keep air out and preserve the heat!

- Jonji

Inglehoffer

I was very hesitant to try this but it is absolutely amazing.

I’ve been looking for a true mustard with a slightly sweet honey flavor that doesn’t override the mustard.

Oh boy, this stuff is great and it’s a game changer. I never knew what I was missing. A friend mentioned this to me and I had to try it and I was not disappointed. I have put it on sandwiches and used it on recipes with chicken. It’s really good I don’t know if I can go back to regular mustard now.

You have not truly experienced food until you have tried this product.
This is an essential condiment that puts regular mustard to shame. Tell no one that this product exists. If everyone tries it, everyone will want it.
Ssshhhhh!

I like that the ingredients are pretty natural – water, mustard seed, vinegars, sugar, salt, white wine, garlic and spices, xanthan gum, turmeric, citric acid, artificial and natural flavors and annato. It certainly doesn’t taste artificial, and I like that there aren’t any preservatives in it other than the salt and vinegars.

I have never found a better mustard than this one. I like it far better than Grey Poupon, Stone Ground or any other variation. This is the real deal for mustard and dill flavor. A must have for your homemade deli-delicious sandwiches.

You’ll find a lot of cheaper horseradish sauces, but in my opinion Inglehoffer is the best.

Beaver Sweet Hot Mustard: Without a shadow of a doubt, it is one of the best things I’ve ever tried. Congratulations on a fantastic product.

I recently bought a little round jar of your horseradish sauce. I usually feel that horseradish is not that flavorful. Just blah. I was very pleasantly surprised at the heat and flavor of your product. Thank you for the good job. Also, the little round jar worked perfectly for my need. Thank you again for a delicious product.

Beaver Tartar Sauce: “The best tartar I can remember having and I’ve been around a while. I live in Wyoming now, from Wisconsin. The closest thing to a “real” fish dinner. Great job, thank you!

I just want to commend you on the products I am enjoying so far. Your “Stone Ground Mustard” has always been a favorite, and recently bought your Cream Style Horseradish. Now I put it on almost everything (although granola doesn’t work). Glad to see company origins 1929 and still going strong!

I like to think I can handle hot, but Oh jeez!! This melted the enamel off my teeth! Maybe I over-did it on the rib roast, but holy cow! It’s FIRE! I love it! I’ll be looking for locations to find this. LOVE, LOVE your product!

I have recently found your Ghost Pepper Mustard at a local butcher. It is the same heat as the Ghost White Chilli’s that I have grown and a lot more convenient. Many thanks for a fine product.

I used to try a new mustard every few months and they were all gross, like a novelty/specialty mustard that wasn’t just grainy mustard was usually terrible… But your stuff is so amazing, the Jalapeno Mustard is like the the best condiment I ever tried… I am so happy I found you guys.
